CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)

Futura Foods prioritises CSR because consideration, good working practices and care, all form the basis of the decisions we make. Our company values reflect this approach and our management team recognises the importance of creating positive value for our employees, customers, supply partners and the wider communities in which we operate.

We are increasing our focus on our CSR agenda, to positively impact the environmental footprint of our operations, where feasible. Our work with CSR reflects our commitment to the UN Global Compact’s mission and we aim to join our parent company, Nordex Food, in signing up to the compact by 2023.

Our work with CSR focusses on:

  • Respect for human rights, and the promotion of positive labour practices
  • The environmental impact of our activities (direct & indirect)
  • The quality, authenticity and integrity of products we produce & supply
  • Animal welfare practices across our supply chain
  • The role we play in our local communities

Our CSR report highlights our objectives, plans and activities. In some areas of our plan we are well developed and in others we are at the very start of our journey, but we aim to accelerate our activities with targeted action and update our report annually to reflect this.
